This summer has had its fair share of gloomy days where I live, but we’re still starting Autumn with some gloom and some baked goods.
Today I’ll show you my homemade carrot cake which I’ll share the recipe for, and more!
Carrot cake
The homemade carrot cake came out pretty good. It wasn’t too sweet, but it was dense. The recipe we used called for 1 1/2 cups of oil and my mom and I only added 1 cup, but I think the oil still affected its density. I’d recommend using only 1/2 a cup if you decide to make it. It came out slightly spongey but was the perfect treat to start this Fall. I ate it with a Chai tea which I failed to take photos of, but it was very yummy!
Of course, what better thing to do than to bake and cozy up on the couch on a rainy day?!

I bought a new toothpaste which arrived at my doorstep today.
It’s a Nano-Hydroxyapatite toothpaste and I’m excited to try it out! According to VeryWellHealth and Nature, “The primary component of enamel is the mineral calcium phosphate, arranged in a crystalline (small crystal) structure known as hydroxyapatite. This rock-hard substance makes up about 96% of enamel.” Hydroxyapatite can be used to help remineralize your teeth (healthline.com). I’ll keep y’all posted on whether I like it or not.

Picking my first Autumn outfit:
I just bought this adorable striped collared sweater, and I decided I’d wear it to school tomorrow! Hopefully it stays cool outside, and I don’t resort to a t-shirt and jean shorts because of the unexpected sun.
I’m going to pair it with some baggy jeans and a gold necklace which can be seen in the photo, and small gold hoop earrings.
I’d love to wear my Ugg Ultra Minis with this outfit but they’re not suitable for the weather just YET. As such, sneakers it is.
Rain & Frogs 🌧️
Today I stepped out of my house to see a bunch of frogs hopping around. It was adorable! They way they climb looks so silly yet cute! The first frog is a true model. 🐸
