Hello everyone, I’ve finally returned, and I’ve missed posting so much! I finally got to enjoy Spring Break and have been given a breather from the hustle and bustle of life and high school. This was the perfect chance to slow down, reset, and celebrate something specialβmy birthday! From a sunrise run to brunch with my favorite people and a mini shopping trip, I wanted to take you along on this joyful day. π Let’s begin!
Wake up @ 6:30 a.m. π
Despite being on break, I’ve had to wake up relatively early on the weekdays. I have track practice at 7:30, and therefore I wake up an hour earlier to give me time to brush my teeth, do skincare, pack my track bag, get dressed, and drive to the track.
Then, my sister gave me my first gift of the day as well as a birthday card. It was the Supergroup Unseen Sunscreen which I had just ran out of! Thank you sis!
Track @ 7:35 πββοΈ
This morning I went on a 4 mile distance run with my best friend and enjoyed the sunrise and scenery. We played music, zoned-out, and amplified our endorphin levels on this beautiful morning.
This run set an excellent mood for the day. Throughout the whole day, but especially throughout my run, I felt blessed to be able to spend this day with the people I love most and being able to run, which many take for granted.

We completed practice with a cool-down and a short resistance band workout.
Breakfast @ 9:35 a.m. π₯
After practice, I headed over to a brunch spot along with my sister and friend! I had pancakes, eggs over-easy, and chicken sausage, along with a caramel coffee. Not only was the food splendid, but the sunshine and laughter brightened my day even more.

My friends and I talked about our dreams for the future, our life updates and our upcoming AP exams π¬. Somehow the stress of school tries to follow me everywhere, yet I was content. We discussed our game plans to study for our hardest exams, and of course we complained about how our classwork hasn’t been significant preparation! π
Drop-off breakfast at home! π‘
We then stopped by my house to bring breakfast to my parents. My friend told my mom she is “so pretty”β what else screams green flag more than this? Many of my previous friends have ignored my parents when at my house, so I appreciated her respect toward my mom.
The drive there and back was straight out of a movie. We listened to a Bob Marley CD, and sang with the sunroof open. I can’t stress how much these little moments make all the difference. I genuinely love life and all the little things that add value to it.

It’s time to get philosophical. So many people I meet are miserable, devoting energy to things that don’t make them happy, overthinking the dirty look someone gave them, staying silent instead of laughing or singing loudly in fear of judgment, etcetera. If you want to WASTE your life, this is the way to do it.
Instead, give weight to the small things that bring you happiness. Donβt overlook the way the sun warms your skin, or how lucky you are to have people who truly care about you. Life is full of little moments worth celebratingβso enjoy all of it.
Next stop… the mall @ 10:45 a.m.! ποΈ
We arrived at the mall at 10:45 and headed to Bath and Body Works. My friend bought us matching hand sanitizers with a glitter PocketBac holder as a birthday treat. I got the Fiji White Sands scent (can you tell I’m eager for the summertime?).
Here’s a little shoutout to my sweet friend! Thank you for making my birthday special and spending it with me!
Afterwards, we went to Victoria Secret and Barnes & Noble, where my sister bought me a few gifts. Another shoutout to her for being an incredible sister.

Then, we sat down outside and lounged for a bit. My friend gave me a penny and dime to toss into a fountain and make a wish on which was sweet.
From then to dinner, I went in my hot tub, spent time with my family, and opened gifts!

Dinner @ 6 p.m. π½οΈ
I ate dinner at a Japanese restaurant and had an ube cheesecake which was scrumptious and also presented beautifully on a plate decorated with purple hibiscus flowers. πΊ
Unfortunately I cannot find the images I took of the cake but I did find one online!

Final Reflections β¨:
In my honest opinion, I had a much better birthday than I believe I would have had if I had an extravagant party. Not only was it a peaceful day, but I got to do the things I love mostβ run, spend time with amazing people, eat at my favorite breakfast place, and relax. I was most definitely spoiled this year and appreciate everyone who made an effort to make my day special. π«Ά

I hope you have a wonderful rest of your day, and thanks for tuning in.
Peace out βοΈ, Nicole.
Update:
Just a short note, I recently started covering my face in most images unlike in my previous posts where my face was present in my images. This is due to some predatory comments I’ve received which are absolutely inappropriate. I value my privacy and therefore I have decided to exclude my face in most photos. Thank you for understanding and sticking along with my journey!π·
