The Man. (a poem)

,

“Wise men say only fools rush in.”

And that’s exactly what I believe,

Of course I know that’s a good thing,

But if I were different,

Would we be happily married already?

Fools find fools gold,

But as long as it keeps them happy,

Is it really that bad?

When I think I’m in love,

I’ll trick myself out of it,

Because God forbid I make a move,

I’ll be the man.

I don’t want to be the man.

Can’t you be a man?
