2024 WRAPPED πŸ™Š Let’s talk about this year and what awaits us in 2025!

It’s December 31st and I’m wrapped in a blanket on my couch, excited yet sad… 2024 has been one of the best years of my life, both personally, and blog-wise. I’m in disbelief of how far this blog has progressed. There are 65 posts (not including this one) and that means there were roughly 5 posts a month (some months more, some months less), which I’m proud of.

Interesting things that happened this year on the blog

This year, I began allowing subscriptions and set that up by myself! I interviewed 2 incredible people from different backgrounds which was something new and eye-opening. I went to a Noah Kahan concert and brought you all along, after having rated every single one of his songs from his Stick Season (Forever) album at the beginning of 2024. Day by day, the number of comments is increasing, which is very pleasant. Thank you to everyone who’s read my posts and interacted with them! I genuinely enjoy this space so much and I can’t believe how far we’ve come.

This is such a happy little corner of the internet, and seeing you feel encouraged and inspired has meant the world to me. Here are some of my favorite supportive comments:

  1. “Sometimes I feel frustrated with homework and I feel that theirs something in my mind that needs to change. But the only thing that clears the frustrations is that when I read your posts. Whenever I read your posts then it clears away my anger and frustration. You make me smile each day. And the only reason why I am happy is because your posts does a miracle that changes my mind.”
  2. “Needed this! So easy to just keep on accelerating without hitting the breaks. One of my goals for 2025 is to finally find a balance of β€œwork and play”. I first need to work on enjoying a pause without it making me feel guilty. That’s my short-term goal for the first few months of the new year.. in any event, I hope you had a great holiday!!”
  3. “Awesome post with tons of great ideas and updates, as usual! You should be super proud of all the hard work you do…”
  4. “This is a great poem I like the way you interpret a human’s emotions as an elf trapped. When a human is depressed they spend their life in darkness and isolation thinking that it would bring them comfort, but really they’re just deriving themselves of the beauty of life. Crazy good poem. Well written. Good job.”

And most of all, seeing how kind people can be online makes me so hopeful for the future of this blog. I’m grateful for all my friends and family who have encouraged me to stay consistent and have read every post. You’re a blessing!

What’s in store for 2025?

2024 has surely been a ride, but I’ve met wonderful people and enjoyed a variety of novel experiences.

In 2025, you can expect international travel posts, thoughtful poetry (of course), a walk-through of academic experiences, and oh my goodness… a beginning of senior year post! I hope to learn various new things and share them with you, and bring you along for life’s little happy moments. I want to build a bigger community of readers who aspire to be the best version of themselves, and who enjoy spreading positivity.

May the new year bring us all beautiful things!

Love always, Nicole. πŸ’ž
