TMT: I Am Now an Upperclassman in High School (This is How Life is Going)

Hello! I am glad to have you join me again for another Two Minute Talk Tuesday.

Except, when you’re getting the notification that I’ve posted a TMT, it’s Thursday. Uh oh. Malfunction?

Well friends, not exactly. It’s more like upperclassman life really came full force and swapped my old life out. Things have been rough.

And yet I’m happy in some odd way, happy to be occupied and motivated to work. What I haven’t been motivated to do though, is post here. And I’m truly sorry.

When I get a break from my AP homework, I do not want to continue sitting in front of my laptop generating ideas. Unfortunately, I am not a computer.

My posts take effort and planning, and I’d hate to throw something together just to get it out there. I want my posts to be meaningful and genuine.

But enough about why I’ve been posting late. Here’s my interesting life update.

Personal life:

Yesterday, for the first time since school started, I did something fun. I went to grab lunch with my friend, and we went back to my house and talked about a variety of things and had a few laughs. I think these are the moments that enhance school life: meeting people and spending time with them even outside of school. Having a personal life has been incredibly important for me as I’m trying to keep a balanced schedule. The workload for school is HEFTY, to say the least.

This morning, I went to Starbucks for the first time before school. Waking up earlier and stopping at my cozy local Starbucks as it drizzled outside was a great way to start my day. It’s the small things that can make you happy!

High School Classes:

I’m taking an AP Research class, and though it’s incredibly stressful, it’s been a journey of self-exploration as well. It’s enjoyable being able to explore my passions freely without being limited to a specific topic or even coursework. Of course there are general requirements, but I can study any field I’d like and take hold of the reins independently.

Most of my classes assign a lot of work, but I’ve been really good with my time management (#soproud)!

My apologies for being behind…

I want to let you know that my posting schedule may change as I get busier with school and extracurricular activities throughout the year. I appreciate your understanding!

I might begin posting TMTs every two weeks rather than weekly due to my lack of free time.

Thank you for understanding, and please comment any post ideas you have that you’d like me to create!

Ciao! -Nicole

You should be so proud (I know I am) of all the hard work you’re doing. Don’t feel bad because your priority should always be school at this stage in your life. It’s wonderful to hear about the amazing learning you’ll be doing and the positive challenges you’re facing, which I know will only continue to make you grow! I’m also so glad to hear that, in the midst of it all, you’re taking time to rest, spend time with friends, and enjoy even small moments of joy and self care. ❤️ In the meantime, I’ll wait patiently for your posts!

    1. AWH! I am so grateful for your support.
And yes, I’m very excited to learn and grow even if that means I will have to dedicate less time to posting. However, I also cannot wait to share more with you all and my passion for blogging still exists!
Thank you for your kind words. I hope you have a great day! 😍
